Cape author Helen Macdonald wins the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction 2014 for H is for Hawk

At the prize giving ceremony held at RIBA last night the judges, chaired by Claire Tomalin, awarded Helen Macdonald the UK's premier prize for non-fiction, worth £20k. It is the first time a memoir wins the prize.
